About Us
40th Anniversary
1971-2011

The Fresno Rugby Football Club has been in existence since 1971. We play in the Northern California RFU Divison II, and are a part of the Pacific Coast RFU. Both of these unions are governed USA Rugby and obey the rules of the International Rugby Board. Everyone in the Fresno Metro area is welcome to join, in cluding those from the Visalia and Merced regions. While playing a high standard of rugby, the club also enjoys the friendships created and have a great time together. We are always looking for others with and without experience in rugby to join us at practice, gametime and in the bar.
Fresno RFC has a successful history. In 15's, we have taken 3rd in the nation twice, 1999 and 2001. In 7's, we placed 2nd in the nation in 1997. We have had several members play for territorial and union select teams and have had two players play for the Eagles, the USA national team. In 2007 Jason Geurts was in the pool of players for the USA's World Cup team. Most recently, Andrew Pickrell (Walt) played for the 2007 Pacific Coast Grizzlies at the National All Star Championships. This season Fresno made it to the National Final Four for the 3rd time!
Fresno RFC is a Non-Profit 501(c)3 organization.
